Star Wars Wookie Wedding Amigurumi
Since it’s wedding season and all, here is a post about some Star Wars Wookie Wedding Amigurumis I made for a friend when he got married. He’s also a huge Star Wars fan like my big brother, and he had been eyeing and begging for an R2D2 amigurumi from me for the longest time…but since this was a gift for getting married, a single R2D2 just didn’t seem to fit the occasion! So after thinking long and hard about what romantic, cute things there are in Star Wars, I came up with wookie wedding amigurumis!
Why wookies? Because they look so fuzzy and cute! Closest thing to a teddy bear, besides an ewok, and I skipped on ewok because they look TOO much like a teddy bear. You probably wouldn’t even know I was trying to make an ewok unless I included its iconic hoodie and feathers/tribal wear, which just didn’t strike me as something fit for a wedding.
Maybe the trickiest thing about wookie wedding amigurumis is…what does a female wookie look like?! Have you ever seen one?? Me neither…oh well, I tried my best by embellishing her with a nice sparkly veil that’s as shiny as all the stars in a galaxy! Isn’t she stunning??
To make the groom look extra sharp, I gave him a nice bowtie and dress shirt, which draped gracefully over his usual bullet sash.
Check out the warm, romantic ambiance created by string lights in the background! So lovey dovey!
So what did my friend think of these Star Wars Wookie Wedding Amigurumis? Let me sum it up with the dialog below:
Friend: “Oh thanks! These are so cute!”
Me: “Yay, so glad you like them! You know what they are, right?”
Friend: “Yeah, they’re teddy bears.”
Me: “…”
Sigh, sometimes you can’t win haha.
