Pilgrim Monkey Amigurumi
Yes, although we’ve already made a post about a Thanksgiving monkey last year, it’s just not complete without a pilgrim monkey amigurumi to go along with it. So here we have it–a pilgrim and an Indian amigurumi. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! That’s it!! Haha kidding, I’m not done rambling yet. :D
Anyway, let’s get back to the main point of this post. It’s almost Thanksgiving! Which means stuffing ourselves silly full of yummy food right~~? Ah~ already getting off topic…sorry about that, I’ll put the pre-Thanksgiving drooling on pause.
Why didn’t we make this pilgrim monkey amigurumi last year? I don’t even know the answer to that question! I’m guessing we were probably procrastinating again on making the monthly amigurumi and ended up with only one. So after a year of seeing our original Thanksgiving monkey sitting around by lonesome self, we finally decided to make this pilgrim monkey amigurumi to accompany it…that is, in feasting on a turkey!!!
Cutting out the felt collar piece was unexpectedly challenging. Maybe it’s because I haven’t been cutting much felt lately, but that collar sure was trying my patience! The shape of it is so simple, yet I sat there for quite a while trimming away at it to get the signature pilgrim look. I remember thinking, “why can’t I cut such a simple shape?! Am I stupid?!”. But anyway, everything turned out fine. :D
Maybe our pilgrim monkey amigurumi would rather feast on a sheep instead..? That’s a glow-in-the-dark sheep, by the way.
Nah, in the end, it’s got to be turykey! And yes, they are doing exactly what you are thinking…..petting the turkey!! :D No? That’s not what you were thinking? Aha! You must have been thinking…EAT the turkey, huh?
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Looks like our Indian and pilgrim monkey amigurumi will be busy doing something~!
